What I’d love for people to understand is that by taking care of our skin involves more than just using natural skin care.
Our skin is the largest organ in the body and acts as a protective barrier to our internal organs by blocking out most harmful environmental chemicals like radiation from the sun. Sunlight is a major cause of free radicals that will build up in the skin.
Looking at our skin health, we also have to look at our diet, water intake, medications, hygiene routine, stress and external environmental factors.
Our skin will break down for several reasons including free radicals, lack of moisture and oil, as well as lack of nutrients. All of this resulting in poor skin health which can lead to wrinkles, acne, dry skin, dermatitis, psoriasis, rosacea and other skin ailments.
We can improve our skin quality by following a healthy diet and drinking lots of water. Also by minimizing exposure to the sun, exercising, taking supplements and by having a daily skin routine using natural skin-nourishing products.
